Job Description

Wetaskiwin & District Association for Community Service is hiring two Summer Student Program Worker Positions within our agency to support individuals to enhance the quality of life for people who have disabilities.

These positions will solely be based in the Connections Day Program:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Hours 9:00AM – 3:00PM
  • Term Position: May 1, 2025- August 29, 2025

In general, a Program Worker provides assistance in the development or maintenance of daily living skills, assist with personal hygiene, and plan and conduct outings within the community to enhance the quality of life. Our focus is on engaging individuals to promote their best quality of life.

We provide extensive training to ensure your skills and competencies are maintained and enhanced. You will receive certifications for your career enhancement.

This job is welcoming to all incumbents who are willing to learn and happy to help.

Please note that these positions require driving both locally and out of town.

Job requirements are:

– A clear criminal record check for the vulnerable sector (no older than 6 months)

– A valid class 5 Driver License

– A $2 million personal liability insurance attached to your automotive insurance

– First Aid/CPR

– Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol

– Medication Administration

– Crisis Intervention

– Positive Behavior Supports

– Universal Precautions
