Job Description
The Specialized Employment Counselor supports job seekers with disabilities or specific barriers to employment by assessing skills, creating individualized employment plans, and coordinating vocational services. Responsibilities include conducting career assessments, coaching on resumes and interviews, liaising with employers, arranging workplace accommodations, and tracking outcomes. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, rehabilitation, or a related field, plus 2+ years in vocational counseling or workforce development. Strong communication, case management, and knowledge of labor market resources are required; certifications in vocational rehabilitation or workforce services are a plus.
