As a Lead Host, you will be the heartbeat of our guest journey, setting the tone for both clients and colleagues from the moment the doors open.
Role Snapshot
You carry the full toolkit of an outstanding Host plus an elevated layer of leadership. You troubleshoot on the fly, keep the hydro-thermal circuit humming, mentor teammates, and make every guest feel personally cared for—all while maintaining the calm, refined atmosphere that defines thermae eleven.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Monitor pool, sauna, steam, and cold-plunge systems during circuit sessions; adjust temps & timers in line with AHS standards.
- Assist the Spa Manager with day-of staff allocations, task delegation, and break compliance.
- Run opening/closing checklists; verify cleanliness and ambience before the first booking.
Guest Experience
- Provide a warm, anticipatory welcome; manage check-ins, waivers, and locker assignments on the booking platform.
- Resolve questions, service recovery, and special request logistics with poise and empathy.
- Maintain an immaculate, soothing reception area that reflects our Japandi-inspired design ethos.
Team Leadership
- Act as first point of contact for Hosts during shift; model best-in-class service standards.
- Foster open communication, respect, and continuous feedback within the team.
- Ensure colleagues stay on schedule for breaks and shift end.
Retail & Revenue
- Conduct retail and supply inventory; restock and merchandise displays.
- Educate guests on product benefits, driving informed purchases that support their at-home wellness routine.
Administration
- Process payments accurately and securely.
- Log daily water-chemistry, incident, and maintenance reports per spa SOP.
- Escalate facilities or guest issues promptly to the Spa Manager.
Housekeeping Support
- Step in with light cleaning, laundry, dish-washing, and circuit reset to keep operations seamless during peak flow.
What You Bring
- Passion for wellness—you stay current on spa and hydrotherapy best practices.
- 2+ years’ hospitality or spa/fitness front-of-house experience with proven guest-service excellence.
- Natural leadership—firm yet supportive, able to guide peers in a calm, organized manner.
- Detail devotion—from water-temp readouts to folded robes; nothing escapes your eye.
- Problem-solving agility and clear communication in person, by phone, and over email.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and statutory holidays as business demands.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
