Program Team Lead – Triveri House
Fulltime: 1.0 FTE (Evenings/Weekends)

The Program – Triveri House
Triveri House is a Place Based Supportive Housing program for young people (18-29) experiencing chronic and episodic homelessness. Adhering to a Harm Reduction model, the program works with the young adults to create stability and overall wellbeing in their lives through an intensive case management model (ICM).
The Position – Program Team Lead – Triveri House
Accountabilities
This section provides the key outcomes the position is accountable for and the activities that are required to achieve those outcomes.
- Direct Participant Care
- Facilitate House meetings once per month to capture the experience and voice of participants attending the program. The Team lead will also ensure ongoing satisfaction surveys competed routinely to be reviewed by program Supervisor.
- Using a trauma informed and culturally aware approach to create a physically and emotionally safe environment that supports program objectives
- Support cultural routines, access to resources, access and support in ceremonies and day-to-day discussion about cultural opportunities
- Using motivational interviewing, build and develop relationships with participants to provide effective support and through potentially challenging situations/behaviors
- Working with the Supervisor and Program team to understand the Stages of Change and how to integrate these into day-to-day activities that support the youth’s choices and goals
- In consultation with knowledge keepers, elders and program leadership, work to ensure culturally relevant programming is occurring and provided to program participants on a routine basis.
- Ensure support services are aligned with the agency’s Principle Based Practice, working collaboratively with the practice coach when instructed.
- Utilize tools and strategies that aid in supporting participants through challenges such as Anxiety and Depression, Addiction, and Sexual Exploitation.
- Ensuring voice and choice is recognized and planning is appropriate
- Help develop and actively engage with participants with day-to-day programming such as recreational activities as attending and participating in cultural activities, assisting with life skill development (cooking classes, sharing circles, recreational programming occurring
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings
- Provide crisis intervention and support to evening staff as primary leadership staff on site. Review incident reports and report to on call staff as necessary after hours.

2. Documentation
- Oversight of staff accountabilities including ensuring staff complete documentation around noteworthy reports, medication administration, case notes, and critical incidents. Count narcotics, dispose of medication and order new bubble packages. Keep updated non-prescription consent forms in each youth-designated section. When medications are missed, communicating with staff and including supervisor so that they can follow up in supervision. Report and communicate with the supervisor regarding updates on Meds, MARS, sharps count, etc.
- The team lead will ensure there is a list of generated cleaning duties that staff are to complete. The team lead will provide this list to the program supervisor, and the program supervisor will assign tasks to staff.
- Team Lead will complete routine internal unit inspections to ensure compliance with RTA standards and landlord expectations.
- Maintain the fire binder by facilitating monthly fire drills, documenting them, and keeping the ICSPs, face sheets, AWOL, and community outing forms updated in it.
- Monitoring and updating participant file data, including routine audits of files to ensure compliance with accreditation and privacy standards.
- Complete and review Critical Incident Reports as required when on shift
- Participate in outcome reporting and outcome measures as directed by the Supervisor
- Support Case Management staff to ensure assessments, service plans, outcomes, program and participant files are current and up to date

3.Organization and Administration
- Assist the program supervisor and manager in scheduling when needed.
- Attend monthly meetings, including but not limited to community of practice, supervisor group coaching, and the leadership meeting when time allows
- Ensure expenses are maintained in conjunction with the program Supervisor/Manager
- Support new evening staff by completing the shadow shift review and implementing the routine, structure, and expectations of the shift.
- Oversight of program supply and ordering needs pertianing to day to day programming.
The program team lead will have experience working within the homeless sector and/or working with youth and young adults at risk of homelessness. They will have a good understanding of trauma informed care, harm reduction and substance use and will be experienced in dealing with situations arising from these conditions such as and not limited to: Crisis Management, response to medical and mental health challenges and emergencies, and support with hygienic practices.
For Consideration Applicants Will Need to Demonstrate the Following
- A degree or diploma in related field of study
- Experience leading group facilitation and life skill development.
- The ideal candidate would have 3 – 5 years of experience in working with youth and young adults who may be at risk of facing homelessness
- Individuals who have experience working within the Calgary Homeless Foundation network of service providers may be an asset.
- A current criminal record check including vulnerable sector (completed within the last 6 months)
- A current Alberta Intervention Record check (completed within the last 12 months)
- A current First Aid and CPR/AED ‘C’ certificate
- A Class 4 or 5 Driver’s License (Class 5 GDL will not be accepted) and access to a reliable vehicle
