Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the setup and coordination of the Product Compliance and Sustainability functions at Distech Controls. This internship offers hands-on exposure to emerging regulations, sustainable product development, compliance documentation, and cross-functional program building. The intern will work closely with the Product Compliance Engineer and the Sustainability Manager to help establish foundational tools, processes, and workflows for a growing Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in mapping regulatory and sustainability requirements (e.g., RoHS, REACH, EPR, DPP, ESPR, CRA)

· Support the development of compliance databases and document repositories

· Help track global certification requirements for building automation products

· Participate in cross-functional workshops with Quality, R&D, Product Management, and Legal

· Contribute to product audits, gap assessments, and reporting templates

· Assist with drafting declarations of conformity, supplier surveys, and compliance templates

· Conduct research on best practices for material compliance, cybersecurity, and sustainable packaging

· Support internal presentations and training material creation

· Help build dashboards and tracking tools for compliance and ESG metrics

Nous recherchons un stagiaire motivé et minutieux pour soutenir la mise en place et la coordination des fonctions de Conformité Produit et de Développement Durable chez Distech Controls. Ce stage offre une expérience concrète liée aux nouvelles réglementations, au développement de produits durables, à la documentation de conformité et à la création de programmes interfonctionnels. Le stagiaire travaillera en étroite collaboration avec l’ingénieur en conformité produit et le gestionnaire en développement durable afin d’aider à établir les outils, processus et flux de travail essentiels pour un Centre d’Excellence en pleine croissance.

Responsabilités principales

· Contribuer à la cartographie des exigences réglementaires et de durabilité (ex. : RoHS, REACH, EPR, DPP, ESPR, CRA)

· Soutenir le développement de bases de données de conformité et de dépôts documentaires

· Aider au suivi des exigences de certifications mondiales pour les produits d’automatisation des bâtiments

· Participer à des ateliers interfonctionnels avec les équipes Qualité, R&D, Gestion de Produits et Juridique

· Contribuer aux audits produits, aux analyses d’écarts et aux modèles de rapports

· Participer à la rédaction de déclarations de conformité, de sondages fournisseurs et de gabarits de conformité

· Effectuer des recherches sur les meilleures pratiques en matière de conformité des matériaux, cybersécurité et emballages durables

· Soutenir la création de présentations internes et de matériel de formation

· Aider à la création de tableaux de bord et d’outils de suivi pour les indicateurs de conformité et ESG

Qualifications recherchées

Étudiant actuellement inscrit dans un programme en ingénierie, sciences de l’environnement, affaires réglementaires, développement durable ou domaine connexe. Excellentes aptitudes analytiques, organisationnelles et communicationnelles. Curiosité intellectuelle et capacité à rechercher et synthétiser des sujets techniques. Maîtrise d’Excel, PowerPoint et intérêt pour les outils de données de conformité (ex. : SiliconExpert, Z2 Data)

Bilinguisme (anglais/français) souhaité, mais non obligatoire.

Job Type: Internship / Co-op

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
