Job Description
The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) is seeking a dedicated Nursing Unit Assistant. In alignment with our Vision, Purpose, and Values, we prioritize patient and staff safety, making quality care an essential focus of this position. You will perform clerical duties in a patient care area, including processing physician orders, coordinating appointments, and managing patient charts.
Qualifications include a Grade 12 education, medical terminology knowledge, and completion of a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program, plus one year of relevant experience. Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively with others, and proficiency in keyboarding (50 wpm) are required.
