About the Portfolio
Fort Harrison, Park Plaza and Lakehill Villa are well-established residential communities located throughout Victoria. We are seeking a Non-Resident Building Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and maintain Devon’s high standards of care, service, and compliance across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the tenant experience end-to-end, including leasing, move-ins and move-outs, inspections, and administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with and enforce the BC Residential Tenancy Act
- Coordinate and oversee building maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and vendor services
- Conduct routine property walks and safety inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards
- Promote tenant satisfaction through professional, timely communication and service
- Prepare vacant suites for occupancy, including minor repairs or coordination of trades
- Collect rent and other tenant receivables and ensure secure deposit handling
- Maintain accurate records and provide updates and reports to the Property Manager as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in building management, maintenance, hospitality, or seniors housing is required
- Strong general maintenance and repair skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a professional, courteous approach
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and initiative
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle during employment
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
- Successful completion of a criminal record check is required
