Job Description

Landscape Construction Site Lead Hand

We are an established owner/operated company whose passion is designing, installing and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces while using eco-friendly methods. We’re looking for a lead hand skilled labourer with experience in Landscape Installation, construction, carpentry or masonry. Our client base is spread throughout the Lower Mainland and this position is year-round.

You are someone who loves the outdoors, through sun, rain, cold and more. You enjoy working with your hands and on your feet, and love seeing projects come together from start to completion. You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in a job well done. Have experience with concrete or carpentry preferably in the landscaping environment but not mandatory.

In this role you will be working across Vancouver and Neighbouring Cities. Our workyard is in Richmond.

Essential Requirements:

• 3+ years of previous work experience in construction or landscape installation.
• A driver’s license with clean abstract, and comfortable driving trucks and trailers.
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints.
• Experience safely operating and maintaining power tools and other equipment required on site specific to carpentry

Desired Requirements:

• Certification within the landscape construction industry is an asset.
• Previous work experience in landscaping or construction.

Job Description

General duties include:

• Construction and installation
• Working closely with the working site supervisor in the installation of high end residential landscape projects
• Performing highly physical work on a consistent basis in all types of weather
• Maintaining a safe and clean job site
• Operating various tools and equipment, including cut-off saws, shovels, jackhammers, heavy equipment, drills, etc.
• Performing highly physical work on a consistent basis
• Ensure attention to detail when receiving and following instruction

You will work under the Site Supervisor and will be required to run a small crew or to work independently. You will be responsible for the tools and machinery that you work with.
