Job Description
The Field Electrical and Instrumentation Technician installs, calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical systems and process instruments in the field. Duties include wiring, loop checks, PLC and transmitter commissioning, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and accurate job documentation. The technician must read schematics, operate test and calibration tools, follow safety protocols, and coordinate with operations and engineering. Qualifications: diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent, at least 2 years’ field experience, familiarity with PLCs and instrumentation, strong troubleshooting skills, and readiness for shift work and travel to remote sites.
