One of Canada’s leading distributors of woodworking materials is expanding its team and seeking for a COLOR MATCHER for our WOOD COATINGS DIVISION. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude in wood finishing and a keen eye for color accuracy. You will work with a wide range of coating products including stains, primers, pre-cat and post-cat lacquers, urethanes, and water-based systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform custom color matching with a high degree of accuracy
• Provide color-matching services for customers – meeting rush requirements
• Maintain and update formula and recipe databases
• Support sales team with technical expertise and product application guidance
• Strong wood finishing technical aptitude
• Familiar with viscometer, gloss meter, light box, film thickness meter, etc. for testing coating products
• Prepare samples as required
• Ability to lift to 50lbs.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and safe work practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong knowledge of Wood Coatings Industry
• Proven aptitude for accurate color matching
• Excellent color vision
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Professional interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
