Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support level position, working under the indirect supervision of an experienced technician. May have supervisory duties over projects or personnel.
- Follow company safety policies in both the shop and the field.
- Maintain a clean workspace and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate resources to perform required tasks
- Repair and maintain field vehicles, rail-bound, HI Rail, and YTV and related equipment/components, perform field order repairs, inspections, adjustments, and troubleshoot maintenance issues.
- Report/record the condition of vehicles. (Audits)
- Fabrication and modification of new or existing equipment when required.
- Ensure vehicle & equipment meet safety and quality compliance standards, participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
- Performs maintenance-related special projects as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform vehicle audits and log SDMS.
- Work under limited supervision following procedures to complete assigned tasks
- Diagnose and repair control systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Carriage component repairs and routine maintenance
- Kubota and hydraulic generator repairs
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns
- Conduct routine safety checks on all vehicles and equipment
- Completes Fleet Wave computer or tablet entries associated with repairs, parts, and accounts for time spent on the repairs
- Identifies and completes repairs identified on Vehicle audits
