Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Project Manager / Site Supervisor to oversee our multifamily residential construction projects from ground-breaking to occupancy.
Our projects typically include:
- Duplex + 2 legal basement suites = 4 units
- Four-plex + 4 legal basement suites = 8 units
The ideal candidate thrives on accountability, is detail-oriented, and can effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
A personal truck is required to efficiently complete daily site responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction from start to completion.
- Utilize BuilderTrend (or similar software) to manage schedules, job costing, progress updates, and communication logs.
- Coordinate and schedule trades, suppliers, and inspections to ensure project milestones are met.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with trades, vendors, and inspectors.
- Coordinate and call in City inspections; work directly with City of Edmonton inspectors to keep projects moving.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and workmanship.
- Proactively resolve on-site challenges with clear communication and problem-solving.
- Maintain project documentation, permits, and construction logs.
- Forecast material and labour requirements; ensure timely ordering and delivery.
- Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with building codes and company standards.
- Maintain clean, safe, and professionally presented job sites.
- Manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of experience in residential construction management or site supervision (custom homes, four-plexes, or small multi-family preferred).
- Strong understanding of residential construction practices, sequencing, and building codes.
- Proficiency with BuilderTrend or similar construction management software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several active projects concurrently.
- Experience working with City of Edmonton permitting, approvals, and inspections.
- Valid driver’s license and personal truck required.
- Trade background or post-secondary education in construction management is an asset.
