Job Description

Marketing Operations Lead for a retail business

Full-time | In-person | Downtown Collingwood

Coriander Life and Coriander Style are looking for a Marketing Operations Lead to take ownership of day-to-day brand and marketing execution across both our physical and online stores.

This is a hands-on, in-person role for someone who enjoys planning, executing, measuring, and improving marketing efforts. The role requires regular presence in-store to capture content, collaborate with the team, support events, and ensure that marketing reflects the Coriander brand in a thoughtful, consistent way. The position also includes scheduled sales associate shifts on the store floor, including weekends.

This role may be a good fit if you:

  • Enjoy owning projects from idea through execution and review
  • Are comfortable working with results, data, and follow-through — not just concepts
  • Can balance creativity with structure, deadlines, and accountability
  • Have an imaginative, visually curious mind and enjoy bringing ideas to life
  • Prefer being hands-on and close to the product, customer, and team
  • Work well independently but value collaboration and shared direction
  • Are confident using digital tools and learning new platforms as needed
  • Want a role that blends marketing responsibility with real, in-store retail work

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Marketing Planning, Goals & Performance

  • Plan, prioritize, and execute marketing initiatives that support brand growth, store traffic, online sales, and events
  • Set clear goals, timelines, and execution plans for campaigns and promotions
  • Run regular marketing meetings, share results, and document insights, learnings, and next steps
  • Evaluate outcomes and make recommendations to improve focus and performance

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Create photo, video, and written content in-store for social media, email, website, and promotions
  • Write on-brand captions and short-form copy
  • Schedule and manage social media content
  • Monitor engagement and respond or flag follow-ups as needed

Email Marketing

  • Create and manage email campaigns using Klaviyo
  • Coordinate imagery, copy, links, and scheduling
  • Ensure accuracy and brand consistency across communications

Digital Advertising

  • Manage paid social and Google advertising campaigns
  • Set objectives, monitor performance, and adjust creative or spend
  • Coordinate with external contractors as needed

Events & Community Marketing

  • Support in-store and community events in partnership with the Sales Manager
  • Use Vision Pages as the primary planning and alignment tool for events
  • Support promotions, content capture, and post-event reporting
  • Work with community partners, including local charities, businesses, and the Downtown Collingwood BIA

In-Store Sales

  • Work scheduled shifts as a Sales Associate at Coriander Life and Coriander Style
  • Deliver a welcoming, brand-aligned customer experience
  • Support daily sales goals, merchandising, and POS procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong digital marketing skills and comfort working across multiple platforms
  • Experience with tools such as Shopify, Canva, Klaviyo, Instagram, Meta, or similar
  • A creative, visually minded thinker who enjoys experimenting and refining ideas
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly, intelligently, and in a brand-appropriate voice
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, in-person environment

Why Work at Coriander

  • You’ll be part of a collaborative, experienced team that genuinely enjoys working together
  • Coriander is a long-established, locally rooted business with a strong brand and loyal customers
  • We value clear communication, thoughtful work, and mutual respect
  • Ideas are welcomed, effort is noticed, and good work is trusted
  • This is a role with real responsibility, support, and room to grow

Important to Know

  • This is a full-time, in-person role based in downtown Collingwood
  • This position includes regular weekend work as part of scheduled store shifts
