Job Description

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our Fleet Repair/Maintenance facility in Calgary. As part of our small and cohesive team, you will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical, air, hydraulic and electrical system defects and maintenance and repair to our fleet of company-owned trucks and trailers as well as those of our Owner Operators. We offer a safe and respectful work environment where you can apply your skills to a variety of technical tasks.

Our shop offers day shift schedules Monday – Friday.

What we are looking for:

• Preference to Red Seal/Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians or experienced HET Apprentices with willingness to complete and obtain CVIP
• Experience repairing and servicing a variety of class 1 equipment (both trucks & trailers)
• Certified CVIP Technician on both Transport Trucks and Trailers (or ability/willingness to obtain)
• Assist fellow technicians/mentor apprentices with maintenance and repairs as needed
• Technician that has own tools and safety boots (see below – annual allowance),
• Safety first approach to work & commitment to continuous learning
• Must be physically fit (able to lift approx. 50 lbs., kneeling and crouching for extended periods of time)
• Candidates must have own vehicle as public transportation is not available to our site
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (as this position is safety sensitive it falls under Kleysen’s Controlled Substance Policy).
