Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess/Busser to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring smooth service flow. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience in food service or hospitality. Prior experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop guest relations skills and gain valuable hospitality experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and assist with seating arrangements
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing and resetting tables promptly
• Support servers by delivering food and beverages as needed
• Handle guest inquiries politely via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
• Assist in maintaining an organized dining environment, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing
• Provide exceptional guest services to enhance overall guest experience
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and service quality

Requirements

• Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred
• Must have Smart Serve or willing to attain within a reasonable time
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience with restaurant POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest relations best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
• A friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
