Job Vacancy for Ticket Sales Associate at Alberta Ballet Company in Calgary, AB

This is a people-first sales and service role that combines inbound customer support, proactive outreach, and subscriber engagement.

As a Patron Engagement & Ticket Sales Associate, you’ll support patrons at every stage of their journey — answering inbound calls and emails, helping first-time buyers navigate ticket options, re-engaging past patrons, and building long-term subscriber relationships.

A significant part of this role involves proactive outreach. You’ll regularly reach out by phone and email to past patrons, lapsed subscribers, community groups, and local businesses to invite them to performances and share subscription options. These conversations are warm, consultative, and relationship-driven — not high-pressure selling.

While our busiest sales season runs from April through September, this is a year-round role. On performance days, you’ll also be on site in both Calgary and Edmonton, supporting patrons before, during, and after performances.

What You’ll Do

Inbound Patron Support

• Answer inbound phone calls and emails from patrons with questions about performance, pricing, seating, and subscriptions

• Guide first-time buyers through the ticketing process with clarity and confidence

• Resolve basic ticketing concerns and escalate issues when needed

• Provide a welcoming, friendly experience that builds trust

Subscriber Sales & Retention

• Promote subscription packages and multi-show options

• Help patrons customize subscriptions

• Support renewals and encourage upgrades

• Re-engage lapsed subscribers

• Build long-term relationships that increase loyalty

Proactive Outreach & Outside Sales

• Make proactive outbound calls and emails

• Introduce Alberta Ballet to local businesses, organizations, schools, and community groups

• Support group and corporate ticket sales

• Maintain follow-up schedules

On-Site Patron Engagement

• Attend performances as a visible, welcoming presence

• Assist patrons with questions and upgrades

• Represent Alberta Ballet professionally and warmly

Collaboration & Follow-Up

• Track activity in the CRM

• Share patron feedback and insights

• Support promotional campaigns

Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales is an asset. A passion for the arts is a bonus. You must be….
