Job Description
Join Island Health as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician. Reporting to the Supervisor/Team Lead, you will clean, sort, assemble and pick simple and complex instrument sets and endoscopes for the OR, Endoscopy and other areas; wrap and sterilize using standard techniques; and perform related computerized and clerical duties. Patient and staff safety and continuous quality improvement are core responsibilities. Requirements: Grade 12, Sterile Supply Processing course completion, plus one year recent related experience or equivalent. Skills: medical/surgical terminology, math aptitude, organization, physical stamina, equipment operation, and effective verbal and written communication.
