Job Description

Join Island Health as a Rehabilitation Assistant supporting patient and staff safety. Reporting to the Manager and working under a Staff Therapist’s direction, you will lead individual and group therapeutic, recreational, and physical activities to maintain and improve patients’ functional abilities. Duties include assisting with treatment programs, directing volunteers, transporting patients to activities, operating related equipment, recording observations, and contributing to continuous quality and safety improvements. Candidates should have completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant program or equivalent, strong verbal and written communication, teaching and organizational skills, physical ability to perform duties, and the ability to work effectively with others.
