Job Description
Stoney Education Authority (SEA) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Elementary School Counselor to support the academic and social-emotional development of our K–6 students. In this vital role, you will build trusting relationships, foster resilience, and utilize a culturally grounded, trauma-informed approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling.
- Collaborate with teachers on mental health concerns.
- Promote wellness initiatives.
- Develop tailored mental health strategies.
- Build respectful relationships with students and families.
- Refer students to external services with follow-up support.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Counseling; experience in school settings; knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
