Job Description

In alignment with the Vision, Purpose, and Values of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), we prioritize patient and staff safety. We are seeking a Nursing Unit Assistant to perform clerical duties in a patient care area, including processing physician orders, coordinating appointments, arranging tests, and maintaining patient charts.

Qualified candidates should possess a Grade 12 education, knowledge of medical terminology, and completion of a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program, along with one year of recent related experience. Effective communication skills, the ability to work well with others, and proficiency in computer applications are essential.
