Job Description
Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s Residential Withdrawal Management Services is seeking a Full-time Addiction Counsellor for our 18-bed inpatient program. In this role, you will manage the admission, assessment, care, and discharge of clients, using crisis intervention techniques as necessary.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing individual counseling
- Completing addiction-related assessments
- Facilitating psychoeducational groups
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 with post-secondary education
- Basic CPR and First Aid certifications
- 6 months of experience in the addictions/health care field desired
